Students are introduced to lifesaving techniques such as CPR and how to respond to choking incidents. They also learn a step-by-step approach to evaluating and handling common injuries and illnesses.
Safety Skills
Students discover how to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations and learn what steps to take during emergencies like power outages or severe weather.
Life & Business Skills
Through interactive role-playing, students build practical skills like how to choose the right job, set rates, and communicate professionally with employers—valuable tools for success in babysitting and beyond.
Safe@ Home
90 minute course best for grades 3-6
Safe@Home is an introductory course that helps students learn how to stay safe when they’re home alone for short periods. The program covers how to build smart safety habits, prevent accidents, and respond to emergencies like storms or power outages. Students are introduced to a simple system for recognizing and handling minor injuries or illnesses, giving them a solid foundation in self-care and independence.
Grand parents
The Grandparents: Getting Started class helps bridge the gap between past and present. Designed to update grandparents on the latest child care practices backed by current research, this class covers everything from infant and child CPR, choking rescue, first aid, newborn care and child behavior. Participants will also explore ways to build strong bonds with their grandchildren and navigate the expectations of modern family life—including how to say “yes” or “no” to babysitting requests with confidence and grace.
